Monthly donations, one-off donations and fundraising are all crucial in ensuring we can keep Umoja going. As a small charity, we rely entirely on our regular givers to fund the day-to-day expenses of the project. By setting up a monthly standing order, you help us rescue more children from the terrifying reality of having to find a corner of a cold pavement to spend the night.

Sponsor a boy
Some people prefer to sponsor and follow a particular boy’s journey, and we are always looking for individuals to sponsor the boys’ education. As a sponsor, you will receive a quarterly update on how your boy is doing, as well as a recent photo. Sponsoring a boy costs £35 per month and can be done as an individual or as part of a group of friends or colleagues for example. If you would like to hear abour our boys currently in need of sponsors, please get in touch!
Volunteer
We welcome volunteers from both Kenya and abroad depending on age, skills and relevant DBS/Good Conduct checks. If you are interested in volunteering please email us at info@umojaboys.org You may just be on holiday in Kenya and would like to visit Umoja as part of your time here, we would love to welcome you to spend a day with us!
Pray
We believe in the power of prayer and we so appreciate anyone who takes some time out to pray for Umoja. If you are a praying person and are looking for some specific things you could pray for for us, please consider the following:
- For God’s wisdom and guidance as we run the project overall
- For the individual boys in our care – that we can either reunite them with loving families or do our best to be the family they deserve in the meantime
- For more sustainability for the project
- For financial provision
- For both the team and boys to develop and grow in personal relationships with Jesus
